Today I review the brand new microphone from Earthworks, the Icon Pro. This is an XLR broadcast condenser microphone that has a real to life sound and a cool look to it. The handling noise/bump rejection and off axis coloration are both excellent, but the self noise is a touch high for the price at 16dBA. Earthworks Ethos Broadcast Mic Review / Test (vs. SM7b, RE20, U87 Ai)

Today I review my new favorite broadcast condenser microphone, the Earthwork Ethos. This is an expensive mic, but it offers a powerful low-end without being muddy, a clear and detailed mid section without sound scooped, and an extended and open top-end without sounding over-boosted or artificial.
